About Tilehurst

Tilehurst is a suburb of Reading, situated on high ground to the west of Reading town centre. Originally a separate village, it now merges into Reading with little indication of any boundary, as the result of ribbon development along the Tilehurst and Oxford Roads - the major interconnections between the two centres - both of which run roughly parallel to the the river Thames.

Tilehurst possesses a centre, albeit a rather modest one, in the form of the Triangle , which is also identified with what is now known as 'Tilehurst Village'.

Tilehurst Globe covers all the areas of Tilehurst, and has members from local Residents' Associations, schools, other groups and individuals who are interested in making Tilehurst a better place to live.
